«From Access to Impact: Unlocking the Power of Small and Medium Enterprises» — Víctor Andrés Trujillo Sierra

«From Access to Impact: Unlocking the Power of Small and Medium Enterprises»

Why is Mexico’s economic pillar walking in the shadows?

Mexico is a nation of entrepreneurs. More than 90% of its companies are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), responsible for 70% of national employment. Yet, the vast majority operate in the dark of informality, outside the reach of the financial system that should be powering their growth. The result is a country with a dual economy: a small core of corporations with access to capital, and millions of honest entrepreneurs condemned to precarity and slow suffocation.

Financial consultant and expert Víctor Trujillo Sierra argues that this exclusion is not accidental, but a structural design flaw. It is the result of a system that focuses primarily on traditional metrics and requirements (collateral, corporate documentation) while overlooking the most relevant indicators for SMEs (daily cash flow, discipline, and dignity).

This book is an urgent call to redesign Mexico’s financial architecture.

Through compelling data, real-life case studies (from the corner taquería to the digital exporter), and lessons from global models (Chile, India, Colombia, and more), Victor offers a practical roadmap to turn exclusion into empowerment. From Access to Impact is essential reading for entrepreneurs, fintechs, bankers, regulators, and anyone who understands that Mexico’s economic future hinges not on a few giants but on millions of small businesses that must finally be given the tools to thrive.

“Inclusion is not charity, it is justice. And justice demands we act.”
